Overnight oats.
Full of SO many health benefits, super affordable, and quick & easy to make.
I've been loving overnight oats for quite a while, but wanted to reiterate how great they are now because of everything that's going on in our world at the moment.
It's almost impossible to go and get everything on your grocery list right now, which is what brought me to sharing another overnight oat recipe.
...BECAUSE, you likely already have most of the ingredients sitting in your pantry.
So, here's my latest recipe that I'm OBSESSED with and have been eating, *if I'm being honest*, 2-3 times a day lately.
...and I'm not mad about it.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup quick/instant oats
1 tbsp chia seeds
3/4 scoop protein powder (any flavor you prefer, I linked the one I'm currently loving)
1 tbsp PB fit
1 cup unsweetened almond or pea milk (pea milk is amazing for extra protein!)
1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
1/2 tbsp hemp seed hearts
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients except the hemp seed hearts into a mason jar or small airtight Tupperware container and mix well.
Cover and store in the fridge overnight.
Grab from the fridge the next morning or day, top with the hemp seed hearts, and enjoy!
Tip: I prefer mine a little on the thinner side, so when I get them out of the fridge the next day, I mix in a little more milk to thin them out.
Nutritional info: 320 calories, 10g fat, 20g carbs, 8.5g fiber, 29g protein.
*Nutritional value can vary depending on protein powder & milk used*.
It's always important to take care of your health and to give your body healthy food, but now more than ever.
So try out my recipe & save yourself some time, money, and headaches, while taking care of your heart health all at the same time!
xo Mackenzie.
