Bliss balls, energy balls, protein balls. All the balls. And they're still all the craze.
We see them all the time all over Pinterest, Instagram, etc.
They can be a great, nutritious snack...when made properly using the right, wholesome ingredients.
When making these, use natural nut butters, pure maple or date syrup, honey, oats, etc., and steer clear of refined, white sugar, oils, etc.
Here's my favorite peanut butter bliss ball recipe that makes for the perfect pick-me up.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup oats
2 tbsp natural peanut butter
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp pure maple syrup *can sub honey or date syrup*
Instructions:
Blend the oats in a blender until they reach a flour consistency.
In a medium-size bowl, combine all ingredients together and fold the mixture thoroughly, until a dough forms.
Lightly wet your hands in water and roll the dough into 10 even balls.
Transfer them all onto a flat plate to be put in the fridge for a minimum of one hour. Then remove, let thaw, & enjoy!
Tip: Store any left overs in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
Nutrition information (per 1 ball)= 45 calories, 2g fat, 4g carbohydrates, 2g protein.
...with macros like that, you can enjoy ALLLLL the PB!
Let me know if you give this recipe a try & what you thought! :)
